Austin Metcalf, 17-Year-Old Frisco Student-Athlete, Remembered After Collin County Jury Reaches Guilty Verdict In Track Meet Case
Austin Metcalf, a 17-year-old student-athlete from Frisco, Texas, died after a dispute during a school track meet in April 2025.
A Collin County jury found Karmelo Anthony guilty after hearing testimony from students, coaches, officers, investigators, and emergency responders about the incident under a team tent.
Prosecutors said the disagreement escalated, and emergency crews rushed to help Austin before Austin later died from a chest wound.
