Mark Steffen, 63, Of Montello Remembered After June 8, 2026 UTV Crash In Marquette County
Mark Steffen, 63, of Montello, Wisconsin, passed away during the early morning hours of Monday, June 8, 2026, after a UTV crash in the Town of Mecan.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office identified Steffen on June 9, 2026, and shared condolences with family, friends, and loved ones.
Authorities received a 911 call shortly after 4:00 a.m. about a crash near Fern Drive and 22nd Lane.
First responders found Steffen as the lone occupant, and the Waushara County Medical Examiner pronounced Steffen deceased at the scene.
Investigators said Steffen traveled north on 22nd Lane before the UTV left the roadway, crossed the intersection, entered a wooded area, and struck multiple trees.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office continues to review the case with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the Waushara County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Memorial and funeral service details will be announced later by family members.
