Chatham Community Honors Callum McGookin, an 11-Year-Old Remembered for Kindness, Adventure, and a Lasting Foundation
Callum McGookin, a bright and caring 11-year-old from Chatham, NJ, passed away suddenly in an accident, leaving loved ones and the wider community grieving.
A fundraiser created on June 7, 2026, by Chatham Friends seeks to support the Callum McGookin Foundation and has raised $6,285 toward a $10,000 goal through 32 donations.
The McGookin family plans to use 100% of the balance to establish an official long-term foundation after state registration and IRS non-profit processing are complete.
The foundation will support causes close to Callum’s heart and serve the local community for years to come.
Friends described Callum as kind, adventurous, and joyful, and the community continues to honor that legacy with care and generosity.
