Leah Watts Memorial Fundraiser Created June 8, 2026, Supports Family After the Loss of a 3-Year-Old Child Near 4th Birthday
Leah Watts, a 3-year-old child who was one week away from a 4th birthday, has died after a reported fentanyl overdose while in DHS care.
Leah spent precious days on life support before the family said goodbye, according to the fundraiser organized by Megan Bitla, Leah’s aunt.
The June 8, 2026 fundraiser, titled In Loving Memory of Leah Watts, had raised $1,955 toward a $5,000 USD goal through 15 donations.
Megan Bitla said the funds will support funeral, memorial, medical, and travel costs for Leah’s family during this painful time.
Family members said details regarding memorial services, obituary information, and funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
