Arron Gilliam, 29, died on Monday, June 8, 2026, after officers found Gilliam inside an apartment at Jefferson Manor Apartments in North Little Rock.
North Little Rock officers responded to 2600 John Ashley Drive at about 10:28 a.m. after receiving a report of a serious incident.
Emergency personnel arrived, but officials pronounced Gilliam dead at the scene.
Authorities later identified 39-year-old Cecil Brooks Jr. in connection with the case and issued a warrant on a capital charge.
